And finally even the serpents fell. The entire surface of the globe was a hideous soup of destruction. Concrete, glass, metal, dirt, melting together... Dead trees dripping plastic and oil. All the creatures that inhabited the lands and seas were long dead. Mankind was dead. And now his innovations too were all dead. All that survived was toxic gaseous algae in pockets of the oceans. And Earth lay quasi-dormant for æons.
Then her womb began to stir. For another Age she lay in heat. Until from her orifices began to trickle springs of boiling water. And these springs began to flow into a stream. Into a river carrying the code for all life. And in the unseen matter of the river flowed the spirits of that life, the energy of all beings that were and that will be. And nothing wanted for anything. And all was in accord.
